Golf Club Punta Ala
There is nothing like playing a round of golf accompanied by stunning sea views. The Gulf of Follonica on the horizon. The islands of Elba shimmering in the distance. Waters so blue they have been awarded the acclaimed Blue Flag certification for years. And then, there is the ancient pine forest, home to chirping cicadas. In this paradise, the 18-hole par 72 golf course Golf Club Punta Ala winds its way over an area of over 6,000 metres. Designed in 1964 by renowned architect Giulio Cavalsani, this historic course is one of very few in Italy with sea views. It is famous not only for its splendid panoramic position overlooking the Gulf, but also for the gorgeous climate that makes it playable throughout the year.
