Nature

Maremma is famous for its nature reserves. The following can all be visited from Punta Ala: Parco Nazionale dell'Arcipelago Toscano, one of the largest marine nature reserve in Europe. Parco della Maremma features a chain of untamed hills stretching down to the coast to meet long, golden sandy beaches and cliffs. You will also find marshland, pine groves, grazing land and farmland. The rich ecosystem of the charming Diaccia Botrona makes it one of the most important wetlands in Italy.
