The Mille Miglia arrives in Castiglione della Pescaia

The most beautiful race in the world returns to Castiglione della Pescaia. The 42nd edition of the Freccia Rossa will be held from 11 to 15 June.
There will be five days of competition, with over 400 participating historic cars, that will pass through towns and villages in seven regions of Italy. On 13 June, the stage starting in Viareggio and descending along the Tuscan coast will break for lunch in Castiglione della Pescaia.
Since 1927 the 1000 Miglia has been a symbol of Made in Italy in the world, synonymous with style and elegance. This year 33 nations are represented, Italy being the country with the largest number of competitors. Of particular note is the presence of 71 collector's jewels that physically participated in the historic speed race that took place between 1927 and 1957; there are also 45 Alfa Romeos, 31 historic Porsches, 27 Jaguars, 25 Mercedes Benz, 21 Ferraris and 17 Bugattis. Every year, the event attracts thousands of enthusiasts, involving an ever-growing public.
